Witchcraft is the practice of engaging our own power to influence ourselves and our environment, in communion with the seen and unseen worlds. When we combine movement and magic, we tap into the power of our most immediate, essential, and primal tool: our bodies.
During this three-hour intensive, explore the 5 symbolic systems of the Witch’s Anatomy (Lungs, Heart, Serpent, Bones, Weaver) through applied ritual practice, meditative movement, and ecstatic dance in a safe and inclusive environment. About Your Hosts
Alexe Known as the movement alchemist, is a creatrix, performer, and medical astrology-based wellness guide based in the South of France. She is the founder of House of Serpents & Universal Movement, a unique methodology fusing cyclical living, astrology, and intuitive movement to support deep self-care and soul alignment. A Gemini Sun with Virgo Rising and a Pisces Moon, her work weaves creative expression, feminine empowerment, and holistic practices rooted in lunar rhythms and ancient wisdom.
Formerly the co-founder of London Dance Academy, Alexe has spent over two decades pioneering sensual movement and empowering thousands through dance and performance. After experiencing burnout and the transformative initiation of motherhood, she turned to Yoga Nidra, astrology, and the moon for healing, which inspired a new chapter of teaching and guiding others through cyclical self-care. Her mission is to shift the narrative of wellbeing—from crisis response to daily ritual—helping others reconnect to their bodies, their intuition, and their natural rhythm.
Laura Tempest Zakroff
(she/they) is a professional artist, author, performer, and Modern Traditional Witch based in New England. Laura is the author of several bestselling Llewellyn books including Weave the Liminal, Sigil Witchery, Visual Alchemy, and Anatomy of a Witch, as well as the artist and author of the awarding-winning decks Anatomy of a Witch Oracle and The Liminal Spirits Oracle. Laura also edited The New Aradia: A Witch’s Handbook to Magical Resistance, the Gorgon's Guide to Magical Resistance, and Serpents of Circe: A Guide to Magical Resilience from Revelore Press.
As Tempest, she has been a major pioneer of gothic, dark, and mythic fusion dance on the world stage for over 25 years. Her compelling artful performances exemplify her distinctively theatrical, unique, and expressive style and are rooted in folkloric and fusion dance technique with a transcendent approach. As an instructor, Tempest strives to help others connect mind, body, and spirit through movement – from personal practice to performance. Along with partner and multi-instrumentalist musician Nathaniel Johnstone, Tempest crafts ritual and mythic dance experiences for festivals, conferences, and theatrical performances all over the world.
